How to be a less nervous traveller
I am a frequent traveller and have been for many decades. I've recently become conscious of becoming much more nervous when I fly. I date this to the time of when we started travelling again post the global shutdown. How can I become a confident traveller again? I find travelling less rewarding and enjoyable now because it has started throwing up so many things to worry about. [more inside]
Higher weight capacity bicycle

I lost the cancellation email. Any chance of recovery without it?
I booked a flight on Southwest. I cancelled the flight on Southwest. I edited by inbox a bit carelessly. I now cannot find either the booking or cancellation emails from Southwest. This means I don't have the magic code that references my cancelled reservation which would get my funds freed up for me to use on a new flight. Am I completely out of luck? Did I throw away money with my mouse? I think I know the answer.. but I'm asking out of an abundance of hope.

Woodsy, beautiful getaway within driving distance of Denver Airport?
My sister and I live on opposite ends of the country and want to meet halfway for a sisters weekend. We have very fond memories of Colorado from a long ago family vacation, and have booked our flights to Denver ... only to realize neither of us knows squat about the area. Also, due to schedule wackiness, we're going over the 4th of July weekend. Whoof! [more inside]

Where can I find abundant seaweed in or near New York City?
For an art project, I'd like to look at and photograph a lot of seaweed, and take home a bit of it. Where can I find abundant seaweed washing up on the beach in June, in or near New York City? Ideally accessible by public transit, but it doesn't have to be.

What’s cool in ABQ and Santa Fe?
Visiting for a FAST four days May 10-13, we’ll go to Santa Fe for the Georgia O’Keefe museum (studio tour is sold out BOO, TOMATO, TOMATO). What else should we do? We both like shopping local and finding fantastic food, even if it comes from a gas station. I love art, letterpress, jewelry, museums, independent bookstores, you get the vibe. We’ll have a rental car. Grateful for advice!

Watching beavers at work
Where, in the continental U.S., could one find a cabin or bed and breakfast on a river where it is a certainty one could watch beavers at work, either directly from the place or a short hike away? I do not want to disturb the beavers.

Baggage “baggage” - shipping excess from CA to NZ?
Hello - seeking recommendations please for sending a box/package (likely to be the size of a medium suitcase) from California to New Zealand. It won’t be possible to send it via an airline as excess baggage. Weight could be up to around 50 lbs/23 kg (of books, clothing, misc small household objects). Cost-effectiveness and reliability more important than speed of delivery.

Californian insider info - When is Hwy1 likely to fully reopen?
We're planning a very exciting family trip from the UK to the US Pacific Coast in July-August this year. On the agenda is to drive down the PCH/Highway 1 from SF to LA stopping off in Big Sur and San Luis Obispo. Recommendations for Vacation to San Juan or Orcas Island.
I'm thinking about a trip to the Pacific North west and am looking for hotel recommendations on the San-Juan or Orca Islands. A bit rustic is OK but we're traveling with my older mother so no camping. I want something upscale cabins or resort, preferably part of a larger complex with a spa. What do you suggest?
