men's shaver for women??

I'm a woman who's fed up with using disposable razors designed for women. I often don't bother with shaving for a while and then when I do it's an absolute nightmare - it takes forever and I get bad razor burn. So I'm looking for alternatives!

So last summer I took a shower with a man who lent me his electric shaver and it was like magic! I had full growth underarm and pubic hair and in a single stroke it was gone!

can anyone recommend what I should buy to replicate that experience? I'm on a budget and looking on amazon I'm getting worried it must have been an expensive model...

Maybe any current Braun rechargeable unit? I think they're all pretty good these days, compared with The Before Times.

(Personally I shave with a Double-Edge Merkur razor handle and disposable DE blades: wicked sharp ones from Japan cost like 25 cents each, and I can use fancy Italian shaving cream.)

I'll watch this thread because (male) and not a big fan of shaving.. also to say: the two Philips products I use are disappointing.. I no longer use the electric (rechargeable) shaver, and the beard trimmer crapped out on me early on, so I can't vote for the Philips brand

Braun makes very good ladyshavers too - mine's the shaving head of a Silk Epil 9, but the just a shaver ones are awesome too and come with a trim guard that's very useful in certain places.

I've used a Manscaped trimmer for several years and I really like it.

The lowest-end model is what I have (or rather, an older version) and it's perfectly fine. That said, even their low-end model isn't cheap, and there are definitely cheaper options on the market these days.

My AFAB partner was perfectly happy with my $30 Phillips trimmer for pits and pubes duty. It's not what I'd call single stroke and you don't want it near your lips, but for going from fuzzy to almost bare in a few strokes, it's pretty good. I use it on my face too and have super sensitive skin as far as pimples and ingrowns and it doesn't give me any major problems.
